At a New Years’ Eve disco party in 1979, Theodore Wahaa Jenkins III was movin’ and groovin’ with his foxy ladies at one of the last disco joints left in the country. In a tragic turn of events just before midnight, the joint’s disco ball fell from the ceiling and penetrated Theodore’s afro, striking him squarely in the head. The party was over, and with it went the seventies.
When Theodore awoke, he had some developmental problems. Instead of moving forward into January 1, 1980 with the rest of the world, his mind was stuck in the 70s, and his brain returned to January 1, 1970. Theodore was lost in a world that had forgotten about bellbottoms, platform shoes, and most importantly: afros.
He found that his friends had moved on with their lives. They were now married, had children, and held steady jobs. Theodore, however, picked up his polyester shirts and began a quest to find more people like him - people who hadn’t forgotten the tunes and the good times of the decade he is forever trapped inside of. He is the Soul survivor of the 70s.
